born in Indonesia (Jakarta) and grew up in the Netherlands, dance training at the Rotterdamse Dansacademie (CODARTS). Danced since 1999 first with Saarlndisches Staatstheater Saarbrcken', followed by 'Staatstheater Braunschweig' and pretty ugly tanz kln'. Worked with Choreographers such as:: Marquerite Donlon, Rui Horta, Olga Cobos/Peter Mika, Amanda Miller, Georg Reischl, Irina Pauls, Felix Landerer, Shang-Chi Sun. From 2009 working as a Freelance Dancer and Choreographer mainly in Germany and toured in Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, France, Poland, Serbia, Croatia, USA, Israel, UK, Taiwan, Indonesia. Ruben Reniers has presented his choreographic works at different dancefestivals: Dampf 05 NRW, Radialsystem V, Sophiensle, DOCK11 and Festival Salon-K. Awarded with his Solo SimulacrumX - Finalist at the Best German Dance Solo 2015 in Leipzig. - Best Solo - Frdernachwuchspreis' & 'Audience Award' at VI.Int.SoloDuo Dancefestival 2014 The rubarb dance & art ensemble arose out oft the collaboration between Illustrator Barbara Steinitz in February 2016 they present a new danceproduction schrittweise at DOCK11 (Berlin) and im September 2016 there is a new production planned SimulacrumXX. In 2013 Ruben Reniers & Arthur Schopa founded the FREIraum-Ensemble, a new FREIraum dance production is planned in August 2016 at the most unusual places in Cologne called Odonien.
